ActiveXchange was founded in Sydney in early 2018 by Alex Burrows, who prior to Australia set up and grew a similar leisure aggregation company in the UK, championing for the first time globally the concept of agnostic integrations with third-party membership system providers and the aggregation of data to create relevant and up to date insights that better connect venues, sports and government. These companies have now tracked and built high impact intelligence from over 1 billion venue visits.

ActiveXchange now operates in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US, securely bringing data together on millions of sport, recreation and fitness members and participants each week. This creates market intelligence, and coupled with ActiveXchange's powerful predictive models (which often use machine learning), enables each partner organization to acquire and retain more active users and members. The enhanced understanding powers the decisions, investment, and impacts made by governments, as well as thousands of passionate community venue operators and sport associations.
